Amazon Prime Early Access Sale & BEST Purchases for Home
Amazon just announced a take-two on the regular Amazon Prime Day held in July each year! For 2022, Amazon has announced its Amazon Prime Early Access Sale on October 11-12. I am guessing this is the kick-off to get in on holiday shopping before Black Friday. You can expect some amazing deals on fashion, home, electronics, toys, and beauty but rumor has it select Beats, Elemis, iRobot, Shark, and even Sony will have select items at outstanding prices.

What is Amazon Prime Day?
Each July, Amazon holds a huge two-day event that features some of the best deals to be found on many popular items such as big TVs and other electronics as well as home, fashion, beauty, and much more. The deals change throughout the day so Prime Members will need to follow closely and jump when they see the golden deals.
How can I get access to Amazon Prime Early Access Sale and Prime Day sales?
The only requirement to participate in the sale is that you must have a Prime membership. These are yearly subscriptions that save you on shipping throughout the year and give access to some pretty great perks. I love using free Grub Hub and fast Amazon grocery delivery. We have also enjoyed some of the free shows and movies available on Amazon Video and Podcasts.
If you do not already have Amazon Prime, you can sign up now for a 30-day free trial and have full access to the Amazon Prime Early Access Sale by clicking here: Get Prime free for 30 days.

Order using Alexa voice command. In the past, Amazon offered special deals or credits by using Alexa.
Watch for coupons you can clip on your purchases from the retailer.
Look for bonus credit offers. In July, Amazon gave a $10 credit with a $10 purchase at either Whole Foods or Small Businesses. Also frequently Amazon will give deals on their music and video streaming subscriptions. Their website currently shows an Echo Dot for just $0.99 with a music subscription.
What are some products to watch out for?
So, here we go. My honest homemaker opinion of products that I would definitely buy again from Amazon that help me manage my home. I will spill the good, the bad, and the ugly. I had several friends buy these during Prime Day in July and love them as well.
Cleaning and Organization Favorites from Amazon
Bissell Steam Shot
I got this little powerhouse a few months ago to clean the sliders on my sliding glass door. I had tried scrubbing but over the years gunk had built up and stuck like glue. Twenty minutes with the Steam Shot and it was shiny silver and not black! The good is that it works. The bad is that you run out of steam after about 15 minutes so big projects may take multiple fill-ups and waiting for it to heat up. It also blows gunk everywhere so you will have to clean up the floor & walls around it. Excellent for a deep cleaning!
Scrub Daddy Power Paste Kit
This is the one-two punch for any tough project. We use this for the patio chairs that had been left out all winter. I've had other scrubbers but I do like Scrub Daddy a lot.
Stackable Can Storage
Now, if you are needing to maximize your pantry space you have GOT to get this. I LOVE this rack. In January, I did a major decluttering and organization of my kitchen (remarried 2 yrs ago and moved into my hubby's home so you can imagine the chaos the kitchen was in) to get things in some kind of logical order. I purchased can racks from a local store and they literally fell apart when I placed the first can of chicken noodle soup in it! My hubby knew I was mad and told me to get the good stuff. After reading reviews on Amazon, I ordered this set. Wow, check out this video if you want to see me trying to shake it. It is so sturdy! 1000% worth it.
Home Favorites from Amazon
PowerXL Air Fryer: Although the Instant was a letdown for me, this gadget is used daily. We quickly and easily make wings that are so delicious and so fast. The kids use it for everything. They heat up leftovers but have also started experimenting on anything that would normally be put in the oven or the microwave and unanimously agree the air fryer is better.
Beckham Hotel Collection Pillows: We were in desperate need of replacing some very old and worn-out pillows but it can be difficult to find good ones. After researching pillows, I stumbled across an article (can't remember what site sadly) that recommended these from Amazon. With Prime shipping and easy returns, I thought sure. Well, after sleeping on these since March I can tell you they are super soft and stay cool just like quality hotel pillows. I am in the process of replacing all of our pillows a few at a time.
Mom Life Favorites from Amazon
Sink Reflections by Marla Cilley: My list could not be complete without the book that started it all! I got this book years ago and did FlyLady-ish but quickly fell off the wagon. I just want ready to actually DO it. A year later, I hit bottom and was determined to change. Although there is no magic in this book, it's like having your mom tell you the truth and shaking you to wake up. I was ready and needed that and if you are ready, order this today!
Paperfeel Screen Protector for iPad: I got my iPad and Pencil for Christmas two years ago, and it changed everything! I use my iPad to plan and keep up with my FlyLady Digital Control Journal. Having this protector on it makes it so much smoother to write directly on the iPad and feels like paper. The duo of this screen protector and the Apple Pencil completely replaces the need for paper planners or notebooks.
Since I am not sure if these products will be included in the Amazon Prime Early Access Sale, I cannot say they are the best deals. However, they are definitely on the list of my top products that I would rebuy. For even more favorites and reviews, check out this video:

We are too busy. Too busy to go into a store and shop. Too busy to deal with returns. We need quality products that will save us time and money and today I am sharing some of the best Amazon purchases I use daily around my house that save my sanity, save me time, or save me money.
Why we hesitate to purchase online?
I hate dealing with products that don't live up to those reviews on websites and feel like so much of that isn't even true reviews. How do we know which one is the best deal between the two options when both get good reviews? We ask a friend, a neighbor, or search YouTube! The beauty of this is that usually, they can tell the pros and the cons in real-life situations.
Also, some people hate the thought of putting their financial info online. Talking to our local banking rep, she says that these days the information is as safe on secure sites like Amazon as it would be checking out in a physical store (sometimes it is more secure). Most bank cards offer protection against online threats but you may have a hold until the issue can be resolved. For this reason, my husband and I have a separate card we use for online purchases that do not have a big balance, just in case.
Why do we distrust the reviews?
First of all, we have all heard that reviews are often bought. I have also seen stories that copycat beauty products are being sold and causing major allergic reactions in some people so for that reason I strongly recommend any medical or beauty products be researched heavily before purchasing online!
As for home products and general supplies, I try to stick to Amazon associates so that Amazon backs their warranties with their own. Nothing is guaranteed in-store or online but the best we can do is to stick to companies that have been tried and tested. Always remember, if you ask a retailer who's product is best you will always get the reply that theirs is the best. If you ask anyone else, you will get different answers.
For example, when we were looking at buying an electric vehicle, we asked about the range the car would get. The sales guy always told us the range in perfect weather, fully charged to 100%, going down hill I think. Talking to friends or watching YouTube videos reviewing the car gave us a more realistic view and taught us how weather temp would vary the range greatly which no one mentions when you are shopping around!
How can I keep up with the best deals for Prime Day and Early Access Sale?
There are several really great places to get even more information on deals as the days get closer! Here are some of my favorites:
Great websites to find Prime Day Deals.
SheKnows.com listed several items that I personally would not have thought of like Colgate Wisps and a nice-looking vitamin c serum by Sunday Riley. If you are a woman looking to get a good deal on practical items, you need to see this.
RealSimple.com is probably one of my favorite places to find inspiration on all things home and family. I just love that they cover all of the bases for things I, as a work-from-home mom, want to see.
TheKrazyCouponLady.com has been a go-to blog for me since I saw her on tv years ago with extreme couponing! You just gotta love being able to search deals by store or by newest. They have helped me save a ton of money over the years with discounts and sales that I just do not have the time to keep up with.
Save time by finding Prime Day deals on YouTube.
TheDealGuy is a big favorite in our house with the entire family (teens, hubby, and myself). Why? Because he goes to my stores like Costco, Dollar Tree, and Aldi and helps me know about the best items to buy there. He also posts videos leading up to all of the biggest sales like Black Friday, Amazon Prime Day, and now Early Access Day. No matter what you are shopping for, The Deal Guy can help you get the best deals.
Mashable is a bit younger and more on-trend but still offers a bang for your buck when finding deals or just getting in the know. My teens prefer this YouTube over their more mature counterparts.

The last thing you need to know about the Amazon Prime Early Access Sale
There is speculation that other major retailers will try to offer similar sales so compare prices as always. Sign up now for Prime Membership so that you will not be rushed on the day of the sale. Place any wishlist items in your cart or waitlist them for speedy checkout if they go on sale. Remember, as always, to read the details. I recently purchased cute pillows only to find they were actually pillow covers. Finally, never overspend what you can afford. A good deal is only a good deal when you are not paying interest on a credit card! Happy shopping.
